I purchased a stratford labs digital image copier model GFP-001 to convert slides to digital pics. Have it installed on my computer (windows xp) but can not get it to scan a clear image. No website available to access help came with the device and can't find it online. Any suggestions? I have the Stratford Labs GFP-001 Digital Image Copier. It does not work properly.
How do I contact the manufacturer for assistance or replacement. You can't even register the dam thing. It does have a serial number but what good is it? I got the GFP001 for XMAS and tried using it today. It never seems to do anything when you calibrate it. All the slides I scanned have missing information on one edge and a corresponding black area on the opposite edge. The slides look centered in the mount, but the scanned image is skewed.
Also, the slides washed out and color shifted even though they were good exposures with good color saturation. I got the GFP001 for XMAS and tried using it today. My parents bought it and I'm trying to convert their slides but I have these problems: 1.
No online support. I figured out why and it's because Stratford Labs is not a scanner maker, it's a branding company. Calibration does nothing 3.
Slides show only white. Their excuse/way out is it's overexposed to begin with which is a lie, because I brought it to a photo place to check.
With that said, the slides that do come out look ok, would be great if I could get it to work consistently. If anyone can help, it'd be greatly appreciated. My parents bought it and I'm trying to convert their slides but I have these problems: 1. No online support.

Can't calibrate the new Stratford 'Digital Image Copier' GFP-001.
Followed all instalation instructions till I got to the part where it said that the unit had to be calibrated for the first time used. It said to 'Click' on the 'calibrate' button to perform the calibration, but there was no calibration button shown, or no on screen desplay pop-up. Would like to know what I can do to rectify this problem. I am using an Acer Laptop with 'Vista Home Premium'; which has 2.0 USB Ports which is called for. Does this device need to be calibrated, or can it be used without the required calibration? Thank you, Gerry Hall Jun 07, 2009.
Well, I cannot help you with a disk, but I can offer this insight: Seems this scanner only works with USB2 ports, and if you only have USB1 ports, you will not have any luck. Additionally, while I cannot help you with drivers, I have found others who say that Windows XP (and it is assumed Vista) does not need drivers to operate this scanner.
Simply go to the Control Panel, (after it's plugged in to a USB2) and click on Scanners and Cameras. The operating system will guide you through a wizard which will allow you to scan images into your computer. Once there, however, you are sort of on your own to choose the software you want to edit those images. Good luck tony May 22, 2009.
A printer/facsimile system includes a printer/facsimile driver to automatically insert a facsimile cover sheet at the beginning of a facsimile document. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field Of The Invention The present invention relates to a printer/facsimile driver which can appropriately order a facsimile cover sheet and the fax document prior to downloading it to a facsimile device. More particularly, the present invention is a printer/facsimile driver which is configured so it can be recalled by a fax DLL to automatically insert at the beginning of a facsimile output, a facsimile cover sheet having the total number of pages of the facsimile document indicated on its face.
Description Of The Related Art Conventionally, in order for a document to be printed or to be faxed, a user must have loaded on his/her computer both a printer driver and a facsimile driver in order to create a document to be printed or a document to be faxed, respectively. Today, however, there are multi-task devices, such as a Canon GP55 digital copier, which can perform both printing and faxing jobs. Since both the print and the fax jobs are performed by the same device, it is desirable to simplify the device's design and reduce the amount of memory required in the device by having a single printer/facsimile driver to perform both print jobs and fax jobs. Accordingly, there is a need for providing a driver which performs both printing and facsimile operations. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION These needs are addressed by the present invention by providing a printer/facsimile driver which provides both printing and facsimile capabilities and which, when providing facsimile capabilities, allows itself to be recalled so as to generate first the body of the facsimile, and second, a facsimile cover sheet.
More particularly, the present invention is a facsimile output system for creating a facsimile document and facsimile cover sheet which includes the number of document sheets to be faxed, a bitmap logo, notes, and a bitmap signature. The facsimile output system includes an input interface for inputting a document to be faxed and for inputting a facsimile transmission request, a memory for storing processing steps and a printer/facsimile driver for a peripheral device, and a processor for invoking the printer/facsimile driver process steps in response to an input facsimile transmission request. USB Negative Film Scanner By Florence The Global Smart Digital Image Copier for slide / 135 negative strip and 110 negative strip. The software is easy to transfer from the Disc. It plugs into your UB port so you do not need to plug it to an electrical outlet.
It works on windows XP, SP2 / Vista, Windowas 7. It has three seprate trays you load the negative in, you click capture on the pictures you want to keep, goes straight from a negative to a photo on your computer in seconds. I downloaded 1467 negatives in two days. Most places charge you.29 cents a negative which would have cost me $425.43. It will do color or black and white negatives for the three sizes mentioned. My siter wants me to do hers next. It was less than 1/6 the cost of the price I would have paid someone to do it at a photo shop.
I would recommond this for anyone who is doing family history, a family tree or just making family albums. A treasure well worth the price I paid.
Very happy with my purchase. 15 of 18 people found the following review helpful. Smart Digital Image Copier, not good on a Mac. By Donald Tucker The Smart Digital Image Copier, did not perform as advertised. When used on my Mac, the scanning process did not produce consistent stable images to scan. It was a gamble trying to get a still/set image, to press the scan button. I wasted more time to get one image, and had to delete more chopped images, than obtaining a good scanned image.
The software that came with the image copier, was not the current version of the software program. A newer version of the software could be found on the web, but it could not recognize the copier.
I could not find troubleshooting assistance on the web and the manual material offered no assistance either. Totally disappointed in the product performance on my Mac, perhaps it does better in the windows environment. 6 of 7 people found the following review helpful. The first thing that you need to do is to verify if your Olympus P-440 is if it's supported by Mac OSX 10.6.x (Snow Leopard). If yes, make sure that you've installed the correct driver for Snow Leopard.
You may check the link below: This link contains a driver for Mac OSX. I assume that this driver will work with all OSX (starting from Tiger to Snow Leopard). If this driver will not help, you may need to contact the manufacturer, and verify the system requirements of your printer.
Thank you and good luck! Jul 22, 2010.
Digital Image Copier
You will not be able to, because the primary drivers for the, are too old for the Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard printer. As you already may be experiencing, the range of use for your Toshiba E-Studio 3511 may work with various generic drivers and will not improve due to the Toshiba printer's incompatibility with Mac OS X 10.4 - 10.6.
You will in fact, always have a very limited to basic use of this Toshiba Color copier in Snow Leopard, because the driver support stopped at Mac OS X 10.3 Panther and there are not even any drivers for Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger for this Toshiba printer.
